Sclerotherapy
A safe and effective treatment for spider and reticular veins.
-
Sclerotherapy is a proven, minimally invasive treatment used to reduce the appearance of unwanted leg veins, including spider veins and small varicose veins. A medical-grade sclerosing solution is injected directly into the targeted vessel, causing the vein walls to collapse and safely fade over time.
This treatment has been used for decades in vascular medicine and remains one of the most effective options for improving the appearance of superficial leg veins without surgery or downtime.
-
Sclerotherapy is ideal for patients who want to improve the appearance of:
Spider veins
Small varicose veins
Visible blue or red leg veins
Clusters of superficial vascular networks
Mild leg vein discomfort caused by superficial vessels
-
Sclerotherapy offers multiple cosmetic and functional benefits, including:
Noticeably clearer, smoother-looking legs
Reduction in the appearance of red, blue, or purple veins
Minimally invasive with no surgical incisions
Patients typically begin to see improvement within a few weeks, with full results developing over 8 weeks as the treated veins gradually fade.
-
Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, or blood-thinning supplements (fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo) for 5–7 days before treatment, unless prescribed by your physician.

Inform your provider of any allergies, medications, recent illnesses, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Arrange comfortable clothing that can be rolled up above the knee.
-
Wear compression stockings day and night for 48 hours, then during the day for 1–2 weeks (or as advised).
Walk for 20–30 minutes immediately after your procedure and daily for the next few days to promote circulation.
Avoid vigorous exercise, heavy lifting, and high-impact activity for 48 hours.
Do not use hot tubs, saunas, or very hot baths for 1 week.
Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning on treated areas for 2 weeks to reduce the risk of pigmentation.
Minor itching, redness, or bruising is common and should resolve in days to weeks.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentrated solution of platelets suspended in plasma. This treatment has been widely used in sports medicine, orthopedics, and aesthetics for faster healing and tissue regeneration. Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) enhances the benefits of traditional PRP by incorporating a fibrin matrix that keeps the growth factors in place, prolonging their release and providing more effective skin rejuvenation. Both treatments are derived from your own blood, which is collected and processed to concentrate its platelets. These platelets are rich in growth factors and proteins that play an essential role in tissue regeneration and healing. PRP and PRFM treatments offer a natural, minimally invasive approach to skin rejuvenation.

It works by improving blood flow to the scalp and releasing growth factors that can help stimulate hair follicles. Studies have shown it can improve hair count, thickness and density with 3-6 treatments spaced around 4 weeks apart for best results. Before beginning treatment, it is recommended to consult your primary care provider who can help determine any underlying causes of hair loss.
-
Yes! As long as your follow-up sessions happen as scheduled and appropriate skincare is used afterwards, the effects should last for quite some time.
For PRP, 3-6 treatments 4 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results and annual treatments for maintenance.
For PRFM, we recommend two treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. Maintenance is recommended ever 2 years.

To start off, both PRP and PRFM are injections into the skin derived from your own blood. They use growth factors from platelets enriched in your serum to improve collagen production and help the skin look more youthful.
So why decide between the two? Both work to rejuvenate the skin in different ways; while PRP is better for volumizing and treating thinning hair, PRFM is great for lifting and contouring with a longer shelf life. Whichever treatment you decide upon, The Face Lab's skilled aestheticians ensure you feel comfortable and informed before starting any procedure.
